After reading Latino USA, the Devil’s Highway, and a number of articles pertaining to Latino culture in America, it is more than evident that the way non-Hispanics perceive America and its Latino population can often be severely skewed. Part of why the US draws so many immigrants is its tolerance for differences, but so often Americans try to ignore what makes each other unique instead of celebrating it. In this, we explore what the readings were about, how we as a group interpreted them, and how America should use this information to proceed into a bright and diverse future.
